Blue Star process crab meat in 12 plants throughout Southeast Asia, employing thousands and producing an annual average of over seven million pounds of high quality crab meat (3.174.000 kilograms approximately).

Blue Star leads the pasteurized crab meat industry in sustainable and ethical packaging. The company’s green pouches for Eco-Fresh crab meat are patented worldwide and pending in the USA. Since their introduction in 2003, these pouches have saved more than 866 tons of metal can packaging material, becoming the first company to package their crab meat in this revolutionary and eco-friendly way.
Pouches also consume less overall energy and release fewer total greenhouse gases than cups.
